Continuing Education Credits: Texas and Other States
The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC) administers board rules for social workers, counselors, marriage & family therapists, and psychologists in Texas. Beginning in 2020, the Texas BHEC no longer approves continuing education providers. Instead, the BHEC has adopted rules that outline what is considered appropriate continuing education. The Contemporary Relationships Conference and the QTAP Certification Program meet the Texas BHEC standards. Additionally, we have partnered with National Marriage Seminars of America (NMSOA). NMSOA is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Most mental health professional boards accept APA requirements. NMSOA has also been approved by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) as an approved continuing education provider. It is the responsibility of the attendee to check with the rules in their state, as licensing boards change regulations occasionally.
Attendees of the Contemporary Relationships Conference can purchase CE credits from NMSOA for $39.99 after the conference. Please note: You must be on time and keep your camera on for all live online workshops. Those who arrive late or who keep their camera off will not be eligible for CE credits.
Those who continue by enrolling in the QTAP Certification Program can purchase an additional 40 CE credits (10 hours for the anti-racism training, plus 30 hours for the core curriculum courses) for an additional $39.99 once all certification requirements have been completed and the competency exam has been passed. Please note: You must be on time and keep your camera on for all live online workshops. Those who arrive late or who keep their camera off will not be eligible for CE credits.

In addition to CE credits purchased after the conference, QTAP students can earn 40 more CE credits, offered by National Marriage Seminars of America once all certification requirements have been met (for an additional fee of $39.99). These 40 CE credits are for completing 10 hours of live anti-racism training, plus 30 hours of core curriculum courses.
Note: The 12 hours of consultation required for certification are not approved for CE credits.
