Code of Conduct


Learning and creativity can only occur in a conference environment that is welcoming and safe for all participants, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, or religion.  As such, we expect all participants to be considerate and respectful at all times.  Intimidating, discriminatory, derogatory, ‬prejudicial‭ or harassing behavior will not be tolerated at the Contemporary Relationships Conference.  Unacceptable behaviors include demeaning written or verbal comments; inappropriate sexual images during a presentation or in any other conference space; the ongoing disruption of a workshop, plenary, or keynote speech; inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.


Conference organizers may take any action deemed necessary, including contact with security or law enforcement, to insure that all participants are safe throughout the conference.  Anyone engaging in unsafe or inappropriate behavior may be subject to expulsion from the conference.  If you notice any behavior that concerns you, please notify a member of the conference team as soon as possible.  We invite attendees, sponsors, presenters, volunteers and everyone involved in the Contemporary Relationships Conference to collaborate in creating a positive experience for all.
