Conference. Certification. Community.Â
Since our inception in 2014, the Contemporary Relationships Conference (CRC) has been bringing cutting edge science and practical experience to explore the relationships that shape our lives—with ourselves, with others, and with our communities. In 2021 we launched the Queer and Trans Affirming Professional (QTAP) certification program, that has since produced dozens of culturally competent QTAP certified professionals dedicated to serving the specific needs of our community. In 2027, we’re launching a new series of interactive online gatherings for LGBTQ+ people and allies, exploring connection, love, friendship, identity, communication, intimacy, chosen family, and becoming more fully ourselves. No boring lectures or homework—just good conversations, useful ideas, fresh perspectives, and a community figuring it out together. Come curious. Leave inspired. And maybe discover something that makes your relationships, and your life, a little better. The Center for Contemporary Relationships is led by an advisory board, composed of committees, which govern our programs. We thank you for your support and are excited about the future!

QTAP is more than a certification. It’s a year of learning, connection, consultation, and community with people who want to become culturally competent in providing care to the LGBTQ+ community. You’ll complete the program with new skills, new colleagues, and a credential that reflects what you actually know how to do.
