THE CENTER FOR CONTEMPORARY RELATIONSHIPS
Strengthening Relationships in the LGBTQ+ Community Through Education and Training
Terms & Conditions
Please review the following refund policies before registering for the Contemporary Relationships Conference (CRC) or the Queer & Trans Affirming Professional (QTAP) certification program. These policies are non-negotiable, as expenses are generated to provide our programs. Please do not proceed with your registration if you cannot agree with these terms and conditions.
CRC
REFUND POLICY:
Refunds for the conference will only be honored if the cancellation is made on or prior to 30 days before the first day of the conference (a $40 administrative fee will be deducted from the refund). Cancellations made less than 30 days before the conference begins are not eligible for a refund. If you are unable to attend the conference, and the deadline has passed, you may transfer your registration to someone else (e.g., a colleague or friend). We do not grant refunds for no-shows. If you need to cancel, send an email to info@contemporaryrelationships.com. Should the event organizers need to cancel the conference, registrants will be refunded in full.
QTAP
REFUND POLICIES:
1. Program Fee: The Program Fee covers access to all prerecorded Core Curriculum courses and registration to the next Contemporary Relationships Conference where the QTAP graduation ceremony will be held. Due to the vast outlay of expenses in providing and administering the certification program, we therefore reasonably rely upon your registration payment to fund the course's operations. Consequently, we cannot extend any refunds or cancellations for the Program Fee. All registrations are final and all funds paid will be forfeited upon cancellation. Please ensure your schedule accommodates the course date(s) BEFORE registering. Transfer Policy: If you cannot attend the QTAP cohort for which you have registered for whatever reason (i.e., illness, scheduling conflict, etc.), then please get in touch with us at least 7 BUSINESS days BEFORE the start date of the program to arrange a transfer to the QTAP start date the following year ( a transfer fee of $75 will apply). Once you transfer to another available course date, you are not permitted a cancellation at a later date. We cannot transfer your registration to another person.
2. Anti-Racism Classes, Group Consultation, and Individual Consultation: Payment is due to the service provider at the time of each service (anti-racism classes = $100 per class; group consultation = $50 per meeting; individual consultation = $110 per meeting). Please consult directly with your service providers regarding their payment policies and preferred method of payment. In general, once you pay a provider for services (including prepayment for multiple classes or meetings), you are not eligible for a refund due to cancellation, missed classes or meetings, no shows, or being tardy. Classes or consultations cancelled by the service provider will be rescheduled and payment credited to the rescheduled date and time.

ONE-MONTH EXTENSION FEE ($95)
The QTAP certification program is designed to be completed September-May, with graduation at the Contemporary Relationships Conference. It is your responsibility to plan accordingly, stay on task, and complete all requirements by their due dates.
However, we understand that there are life events that sometimes interrupt our best intentions. Therefore, while not encouraged, students can request a one-month extension at any time, for any reason, without restriction, before the QTAP course expires. You must complete all requirements within the 30-day extension. Those who are unable to do so may be eligible, with administrative approval, to restart the program at the beginning of the next cohort.
